On October 1, 2025, we are launching the sitstaylivehere.com searchable apartment directory designed exclusively for dog lovers, and we need your help to spread the word and help us get at least 100 communities listed before that date!

Did you know that the #1 reason owners surrender their dogs is because of issues with housing? This directory will make it easy, fast, and fun to find rental solutions where owners can keep their dog at home, where they belong.

And that’s a big deal. But it’s not enough for us.

Because it’s one thing to find a rental where your dog is welcome, but renting with a dog can also be incredibly expensive, and that’s a second major barrier people face when they are already struggling with hardship.

Challenging times are something we know a bit about. According to US News & World, 40% of Americans are unable to cover a $1,000 emergency with cash or savings. The grim reality is that tough times might mean you have to surrender your dog, and though those tough times won’t last, surrendering is forever. With this directory we can help people avoid that decision all together.

But some dogs do end up in shelters, so in addition to creating the directory we also set aside 10% of every community listing to sponsor shelter dogs and pay up to $1,000 towards expenses that will improve the health / well-being of the dog and increase the likelihood of the adoption succeeding long term.  

Sharing our mission with apartment communities isn’t a standard sales pitch. It’s a lifeline, a community network of support, and it’s hope for dog owners and shelter dogs alike. The world desperately needs more of this type of meaningful and purposeful connection, and you get to be the person that spreads the word, moves the gears one step further, and earns big while doing it.

You’ll earn $100 for every community you get to join the directory, and if you get at least ten communities signed up, then you also get credit for being  the reason a shelter dog gets sponsored.
